About the Role
We are seeking an experienced ICT Business Development Manager to lead business development activities, expand our client portfolio and drive the growth of Skyline Infotech Services’ ICT consulting and digital solutions offerings.
The successful candidate will identify new business opportunities, develop relationships with prospective and existing clients, assess client technology requirements and coordinate the preparation of commercially viable ICT solutions.
This role requires a strong understanding of the ICT services market, consultative selling, account development and the commercial application of technology solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement business development strategies for the company’s ICT consulting, systems implementation and digital transformation services.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities across target industries and market sectors.
- Research market conditions, emerging technology trends, competitors and prospective client requirements.
- Establish and maintain relationships with prospective clients, existing customers, strategic partners and key industry stakeholders.
- Engage with clients to understand their operational, commercial and technology requirements.
- Work with technical consultants, solution architects and project teams to develop suitable ICT service offerings and solution proposals.
- Prepare and present business proposals, capability statements, tenders, quotations and client presentations.
- Negotiate commercial terms, service arrangements and contractual requirements with clients.
- Manage the business development pipeline from initial lead generation through to proposal, negotiation and client onboarding.
- Develop account growth strategies for existing clients, including cross-selling and identifying opportunities for additional ICT services.
- Establish sales targets, revenue objectives and business development performance indicators.
- Monitor sales performance, conversion rates, market activity and business development outcomes.
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, opportunities, proposals and sales activities using CRM and reporting systems.
- Represent Skyline Infotech Services at client meetings, networking events, industry forums and business development activities.
- Collaborate with management to support pricing strategies, service development and broader organisational growth objectives.
- Provide regular reports and recommendations to senior management regarding market opportunities, client feedback and business development performance.
Skills and ExperienceEssential
- Demonstrated experience in ICT business development, technology sales, account management or commercial development.
- Strong understanding of ICT consulting, digital solutions, systems implementation, managed services or technology transformation projects.
- Proven ability to identify business opportunities and develop new client relationships.
- Experience managing the complete business development lifecycle, including lead generation, client engagement, proposal preparation, negotiation and conversion.
- Strong consultative selling and solution-development capability.
- Demonstrated experience preparing proposals, tenders, quotations, presentations and commercial documentation.
- Excellent stakeholder-management, communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
- Strong commercial awareness and ability to understand client operational and technology requirements.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with technical specialists, consultants, project managers and senior management.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms, Microsoft Office, reporting systems and business-development tools.
- Strong analytical, organisational and problem-solving skills.
Desirable
- Experience in ICT consulting, ERP systems, cloud services, workflow automation, cybersecurity, managed services or digital transformation.
- Existing professional networks within relevant commercial or government sectors.
- Experience responding to formal tenders, requests for proposals and procurement opportunities.
- Knowledge of government or corporate procurement processes.
- Familiarity with Agile, hybrid or technology project-delivery methodologies.
- Relevant qualifications in information technology, business, marketing, commerce or a related discipline.
