About the role

Work 7am – 3.30pm each day, with one earlier finish per week.

Lead a small and experienced FoH and BoH team to deliver fantastic customer experience and consistently outstanding food & coffee.

Facilitate workplace training for young people impacted by the Youth Justice system with the support of our Youth Programs team.

Ensure compliance with healthy and safety regulations, labour laws, and our internal youth safety protocols.

Oversee all daily tasks including opening and closing the venue, stock management, cleaning and venue presentation, managing COGs/wastage and labour costs, and recordkeeping.

Use your leadership capabilities to uplift your team and manage underdeveloped skills.

Maintain a high level of professional communication and responsiveness with your area supervisor, operations manager, and other internal stakeholders.

We’d love for you to have

Genuine passion for hospitality and outstanding all-round knowledge of Melbourne’s food and coffee culture.

Excellent leadership and motivational skills and the confidence to manage underperformance in your team.

An understanding of managing COGs and Labour targets.

Effective time management and communication, both verbal and written.

Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role.

Minimum 2 years' experience as a Barista in specialty coffee is essential.
