Bakers Delight Karrinyup operates a well-established bakery located in Karrinyup shopping centre, WA 6018. The business offers a variety of freshly baked breads, pastries, and desserts, known for their quality and consistency.
Roles and Responsibilities:
· Check the quality and weight of raw materials and ingredients as per the recipe requirements and prepare a variety of doughs and batters.
· Bake bread, pastries, cakes, and other bakery items, monitoring baking times, oven temperatures and product appearance and prepare pastry fillings.
· Ensure products meet quality standards for taste, appearance, and texture.
· Collaborate with other bakery staff to coordinate the forming, loading, baking, unloading, de-panning, and cooling processes for batches of bread, rolls, and pastry products to maintain consistency and quality and ensure efficient production.
· Safely operate bakery machinery and equipment, such as mixers, dough dividers, ovens, and slicers.
· Regularly inspect and maintain bakery equipment to ensure safe and efficient operations.
· Follow food safety guidelines, including proper handling and storage of ingredients.
· Clean workstations and equipment before production starts and after each shift, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation throughout the bakery.
· Decorate, glaze, or fill bakery items as required to create appealing presentations.
· Inspect baked goods for consistency in quality, shape, and size.
· Monitor and manage stock levels of ingredients and supplies, placing orders when necessary.
· Keep records of daily production, waste, and ingredient usage.
· Assist with customer orders and special requests, ensuring a positive customer experience
Skills:
· Have at least 3-4 years of proven experience as a Baker or relevant role in a commercial bakery. Have a certificate III level or above qualification in Baking.
· Knowledge of various baking techniques and familiarity with bakery equipment.
· Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
· Attention to detail, especially with recipes, measurements, and timing.
· Ability to work early mornings and flexible hours, including weekends.
Pay: $80,000.00 – $82,000.00 per year
