Stihl Shop Emerald are looking for a Small Engine Mechanic to join our busy workshop in Emerald, Central QLD.
We are a family owned business that specializes in the sale and service of Stihl outdoor power products such as chainsaws and brush cutters. We also have a range of zero turn and ride-on mowers, and we are agents for CFMoto buggies and quads.
The duties typically required include:
- Maintaining, testing and repairing engines of chainsaws, ride on lawn mowers, quads, buggies and other equipment with small engines.
- Detecting and diagnosing mechanical and electrical faults in engines and parts
- Dismantling and removing engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms and other components, and checking parts
- Repairing and replacing worn and defective parts and reassembling mechanical components, and referring to service manuals and illustrated parts lists (IPL’s) as needed
- Identifying and requisitioning replacement parts to order
- Performing scheduled maintenance services, such as oil changes, lubrications and engine tune-ups, to achieve smoother running of vehicles and ensure compliance with pollution regulations
- Reassembling engines and parts after being repaired
- Testing and adjusting mechanical parts after being repaired for proper performance diagnosing and testing parts with the assistance of computers
The successful applicant must hold a minimum Certificate III / Trade Qualification or minimum 3-year on the job experience in a similar environment. Must also hold a Drivers License.
You will be reliable, able to work as both part of a team and independently, and take pride in your work.
Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
