This is a permanent part-time, in-office role (3 days per week) for a Bookkeeper. The Bookkeeper will oversee financial transactions, maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial statements, manage journal entries, and provide administration support to the Company Director. The role also involves utilising accounting software to ensure compliance with financial standards in Australia and supporting the company in managing its financial and administrative operations effectively.
- Maintain accurate day-to-day bookkeeping in Xero (coding, AP/AR, reconciliations, clean ledgers)
- Manage manufacturing-related accounts: track production costs, allocate costs correctly, support accurate COGS/margins
- Oversee inventory accounting and reconciliation across MRPEasy + Xero (stock movements, adjustments, stocktakes, valuations, discrepancy resolution)
- Reconcile eCommerce sales and payment platforms into Xero (fees, refunds, discounts, GST coding)
- Prepare BAS-ready records and schedules and support quarterly BAS in coordination with our external Australian Chartered Accountant
- Provide regular reporting and clear written updates to the Company Director (monthly summaries, cashflow snapshot, aged payables/receivables, inventory checks)
- Maintain and manage compliance documentation and renewals (e.g., insurance policies/certificates), including obtaining quotes and supporting policy negotiations
- Improve and document processes/checklists to streamline month-end and reduce errors
- Provide general administration support to the Company Director, including correspondence, diary/schedule coordination, and document and records management
- Assist with day-to-day office administration: supplier and vendor liaison, ordering office supplies, filing, and data entry
- Support ad hoc administrative and operational tasks as required
Pay: $30.00 – $40.00 per hour
