About the role
We're looking for an enthusiastic, detail-oriented Accountant to join our Finance, Alternative Investments team on a full-time, permanent basis in Brisbane. This position offers the opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and expand your expertise in the dynamic field of alternative investments. You'll contribute to QIC’s investment functions across Private Equity, Private Debt and State Investments. In this hands-on role, you'll manage day-to-day operational tasks within QIC’s investment portfolio and ensure accurate, timely reporting.
What you’ll be doing
About you
We’re seeking someone who is proactive, takes initiative, and can work independently within a flexible and fast-paced environment. Ideally, you will have:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Commerce, or equivalent.
- CA or CPA qualification (completed or in progress).
- Experience in financial services, consulting, or investment management.
- Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, adaptable to new systems, and genuinely interested in AI technology.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
