ABOUT CBD PLANT & LABOUR
CBD Plant & Labour is a well-established civil and construction plant hire business supplying equipment, machinery and skilled labour to residential, commercial and civil infrastructure projects across the Sydney region. As demand for our drainage and civil works services continues to grow, we are looking for an experienced Drainer to join our team on a full-time, ongoing basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Install, lay, repair and maintain stormwater and sewer drainage systems on residential, commercial and civil construction sites.
- Read and interpret site plans, drainage diagrams and specifications to determine pipe layout, grades and falls.
- Connect drainage systems to septic systems, stormwater systems and council mains as required.
- Conduct testing of drainage systems, identify blockages or faults, and carry out repairs.
- Liaise with site supervisors, other trades and clients to ensure work is completed to schedule and specification.
- Ensure all work complies with WHS legislation, Australian Plumbing Standards and local council requirements.
- Complete accurate job documentation, timesheets and compliance records.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED
- Minimum 2 years' post-trade experience working as a Drainer on residential and/or civil construction sites.
- Current General Construction Induction (White Card).
- Current NSW Class C driver's licence; a light rigid (LR) licence is well regarded.
- Sound working knowledge of AS/NZS 3500 Plumbing and Drainage Standards and WHS requirements.
- Ability to work safely and independently, including manual handling and working outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach to working within a small team.
