About the role
DRS Industries Pty Ltd is seeking a reliable and hardworking Delivery Driver/Warehouse Assistant to join our team on a Casual/Part-time basis. This is a hybrid role that combines warehouse operations with local delivery responsibilities, based in Padstow, NSW. You will play a crucial role in ensuring our customers receive their orders promptly and in excellent condition, whilst assisting and maintaining the efficiency and organisation of our warehouse operations. This position offers flexibility and is ideal for candidates seeking casual/part-time work with varied daily responsibilities.
What you'll be doing
- Preparing orders for dispatch by picking, packing and labelling items accurately according to delivery specifications
- Loading the delivery van with packages, ensuring loads are balanced and secure for transport
- Delivering packages to customers within the local areas, maintaining a professional demeanour and providing excellent customer service
- Recording delivery confirmations and obtaining customer signatures where required
- Performing regular warehouse housekeeping duties, including sweeping, organising stock and maintaining clean working areas
- Conducting vehicle checks and reporting any maintenance issues or damage immediately
- Assisting with inventory management and stock rotation to ensure efficient warehouse operations
- Following all health and safety protocols and company procedures at all times
What we're looking for
- A valid Australian driver's licence with a clean driving record
- Previous experience in warehouse operations, delivery driving or a similar logistics role
- Physical fitness and the ability to lift, carry and move heavy items regularly
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
- Excellent time management and the ability to meet delivery schedules
- Reliability and punctuality, with a commitment to attendance on scheduled shifts
- Good communication skills and a professional, customer-focused approach
- Familiarity with warehouse management systems and basic computer skills (preferred)
- Forklift certification or willingness to obtain certification (preferred)
