About the Role
As the Project Manager, Student Management, you will lead strategic projects that shape and enhance the student experience across Curtin University. Acting as a key connector between departments, you will bring stakeholders together to drive innovation, improve processes, and deliver initiatives that support the University's strategic priorities.
Working across a broad portfolio that includes admissions, enrolments, scheduling, and scholarships, you will work closely with stakeholders across systems, marketing, service delivery, and faculty to identify opportunities for improvement, influence change, and ensure projects achieve meaningful outcomes for students and the University.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver strategic projects that improve student-facing services, systems, and processes.
- Identify opportunities for innovation, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency across Student Management.
- Build strong relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across the University to drive project outcomes.
- Provide strategic advice, reporting, and presentations to senior leaders to support informed decision-making.
- Partner with areas across the University to implement key initiatives.
- Lead and develop a small team, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture.
- Influence, negotiate, and challenge stakeholders to progress priorities and achieve successful outcomes.
- Monitor project performance, manage risks, and ensure the successful delivery of objectives.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
- Significant project management experience delivering complex projects and organisational change initiatives.
- Proven ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive outcomes across diverse groups.
- Strong leadership skills, including experience managing and developing staff.
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently with stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving capability.
- Demonstrated success identifying and implementing process improvements and innovative solutions.
- Ability to balance strategic thinking with hands-on project delivery in a complex environment.
- Experience within tertiary education or a strong understanding of student-focused services will be highly regarded.
Role Requirements
- As this is a fixed-term contract, you will require current work rights in Australia that match the tenure of this role
