Reports To: Warehouse Supervisor
Position Overview
The Casual Container Unloader is responsible for unloading shipping containers, handling stock, and ensuring goods are received safely and efficiently. This role requires physical fitness and the ability to work in a fast-paced warehouse environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Unload shipping containers manually and/or using warehouse equipment
- Sort, check, and stage incoming stock correctly
- Inspect goods for damage and report any discrepancies
- Ensure stock is handled carefully to prevent damage
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Follow all warehouse procedures and WH&S guidelines
- Assist with general warehouse duties as required
Requirements & Skills
- High level of physical fitness and ability to perform repetitive manual tasks
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Strong work ethic and reliability
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Flexible availability to work rostered shifts
Additional Requirements
- Forklift licence (LF) is advantageous but not essential
- Experience in a warehouse or logistics environment preferred
Pay: From $33.00 per hour
