About the role
We are looking for an adaptable team member who care about their community to deliver high-quality horticultural and green keeping services across Council parks and open spaces. Working closely with a supportive Team Leader and a small team, you will play a hands-on role in keeping our public spaces clean, welcoming, and vibrant for the community.
In this role you will:
- Operate commercial mowing equipment including ride-on mowers, brush cutters, and atom edgers.
- Perform amenity maintenance such as garden care, asset upkeep, litter picking, and blower operations.
- Collaborate in two-person teams while remaining available to support larger operational crews as required.
- Adapt to changing daily schedules and diverse tasks to meet the evolving needs of council parks.
Follow direct instructions from Team Leaders and Supervisors to maintain strict community & safety standards.

What’s on offer
We offer a competitive salary from $66,047.33 to $72,755.41 plus 12% superannuation.
This position will attract allowances in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award 2026, this could include the Adverse Working Conditions Allowance.

About you
We are looking for someone who is adaptable and proactive to deliver high-quality horticultural and greenkeeping services across council parks and reserves.
You will also bring:
- Relevant experience in a similar role or industry
- Capacity to undertake the physical requirements of the role.
- Great attention to detail and excellent communication skills.
Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
