Dental Assistant / Receptionist / Practice All-Rounder
HD Dental Studio | Mount Gravatt QLD
We are growing and expanding our team!
Join a growing dental practice where attitude matters more than experience.
At HD Dental Studio, we're growing and looking to welcome one or more new team members into our clinical and front-office team.
We are seeking adaptable, enthusiastic people who are keen to learn, contribute wherever needed, and become valued long-term members of our practice.
Whether you're an experienced Dental Assistant, currently studying, coming from a medical or allied health background, or completely new to dentistry, we'd love to hear from you.
If you have the right attitude, strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn, we can teach the rest.
About Us
HD Dental Studio is a local dental practice in Mount Gravatt with over 40 years of trusted local history.
We provide a wide range of dental services including general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, implants, orthodontics, and same-day CEREC crowns.
More importantly, we're a people-focused practice.
We take pride in providing a genuine 7-star patient experience and creating a workplace where our team feels supported, respected, and encouraged to grow.
We work hard, we help each other, we celebrate our wins, and we're constantly looking for ways to improve.
About the Role
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys variety and wants to develop skills across multiple areas of the practice.
You may assist clinically one moment, help a patient at reception the next, and support practice operations behind the scenes later in the day.
You will be trained across:
- Chairside dental assisting
- Instrument reprocessing and sterilisation
- Infection control and clinical protocols
- Reception and patient coordination
- Administrative and operational tasks
- Stock control and ordering
- Supporting daily team workflow and communication
As our practice continues to grow, flexibility is highly valued. We are looking for team members who are happy to be trained across multiple areas of the practice and can assist wherever support is needed on a given day.
Growth & Development
We believe in investing in our team.
You will receive hands-on training, mentoring, and support as you learn.
We regularly undertake continuing professional development and training, and team members are encouraged and paid to attend many of these sessions.
For the right person, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility, develop leadership skills, and build a long-term career within the practice.
About You
This role is much more about attitude than experience.
We're looking for someone who:
- Has a positive, can-do attitude

- Communicates well with patients and team members
- Enjoys being part of a close-knit team
- Is organised and pays attention to detail
- Is comfortable using technology and learning new software systems
- Thinks ahead and looks for ways to help rather than waiting to be asked
- Is flexible and adaptable when priorities change throughout the day
- Is happy to learn and contribute across multiple areas of the practice
- Enjoys finding solutions and helping the team move forward when challenges arise
- Demonstrates leadership qualities, ownership, and personal responsibility regardless of role
Experience in dentistry is welcomed but not essential.
If you've worked in customer service, medical reception, allied health, hospitality, retail, or another fast-paced people-focused environment, we'd still love to hear from you.
