Super Health Group Pty Ltd, trading as Coco L Construction, has been working within the construction industry since 2015. Over the years, we have been involved in a variety of projects, including shopping centres, airports, schools, aged care centres, early learning centres, hospitals, high-rise apartments and townhouses in both public and private sectors.
We are searching for a bricklayer to join our team in a full-time position. You will be based at our main office at 235 Learoyd Rd, Acacia Ridge, QLD, working at various locations in Queensland.
This position requires the applicant to be qualified in this trade and to have a minimum of one year full-time experience in the industry.
The job requires the applicant to be able to do the following skills:
- Interpret architectural drawings, plans and specifications to determine materials requirements and sequence of bricklaying and masonry construction activities.
- Lay bricks, blocks, stones and other masonry units to construct, repair and renovate walls, partitions, arches, fireplaces, chimneys and other structures; measure, cut and shape materials using hand and power tools to fit designated spaces and angles.
- Mix and apply mortar, grout and other bonding materials; install wall ties, reinforcing bars and lintels; and apply render, plaster or other surface coatings to achieve specified finishes.
- Erect and dismantle scaffolding and formwork; construct and repair decorative and heritage brickwork including tuckpointing, repointing and restoration work.
- Estimate materials quantities, prepare procurement lists, and collaborate with builders, engineers, site supervisors and other tradespeople to coordinate activities and meet project timelines.
- Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with relevant building codes, Australian Standards and workplace health and safety (WHS) requirements; maintain tools, equipment and the work site in a safe and orderly manner.
The salary is based on 38 hours per week, ranging from $80k to $95k per annum, plus superannuation, depending on experience.
License required: Driver license, White card
