About the role
The Nurse Manager - Workforce and Patient Flow is accountable at an advanced practice level for coordinating workforce management and patient flow activities across the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Service within Surgical Treatment and Rehabilitation Services (STARS). The role provides operational leadership to ensure the effective use of human, financial and material resources while supporting safe, sustainable and high-quality service delivery.
The successful candidate will lead workforce and patient flow initiatives, support service planning and performance objectives, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimise resource allocation and operational efficiency. The role also contributes to strategic decision-making, clinical governance and continuous improvement activities that support contemporary patient-centred care and workforce management practices.

Lead workforce management and patient flow coordination activities to support efficient, safe and sustainable service delivery across the Geriatric and Rehabilitation Service.
Apply advanced knowledge of workforce planning, resource allocation and patient flow management to optimise operational performance and patient outcomes.
Support the effective management of human, financial and material resources in accordance with contemporary healthcare and business planning frameworks.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary stakeholders to identify opportunities for service improvement, resource optimisation and implementation of operational changes.
Provide leadership within a professional and ethical framework that promotes clinical governance, high performance and person-centred care.
