Prawat Enterprises Pty Ltd (ABN 71 614 176 984) is seeking a skilled and experienced Carpenter to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Read and interpret drawings, plans and specifications.
- Measure, mark, cut, shape and assemble timber and other construction materials.
- Construct, erect and install wall frames, roof framing and structural components.
- Install flooring, external cladding, door frames, window frames, fixtures and fittings.
- Select and prepare appropriate timber and construction materials.
- Check completed structures to ensure they are level, square, plumb and consistent with specifications.
- Construct and assemble formwork where required.
- Renovate, repair and replace existing timber structures and fittings.
- Operate carpentry tools, machinery and equipment safely.
- Maintain a safe work environment and comply with WHS requirements.
Skills and Experience
The successful applicant must have:
- Minimum Certificate III in Carpentry or a relevant equivalent qualification.
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Carpenter.
- Experience in residential and/or commercial carpentry.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
- Sound knowledge of carpentry techniques, materials, tools and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication and time-management skills.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety requirements.
