About the role
We are seeking an Operational Support Officer to join our Fleet & Depot Operations team at Rydalmere. This role provides essential administrative and customer service support to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the Operations Centre.
In this role you will:
- Provide administrative support to managers and operational staff
- Manage records in OneCouncil (TechOne), including monitoring, assigning, updating, and closing requests
- Prepare documents such as correspondence, meeting minutes, and memos
- Conduct workplace and safety inductions for new employees
- Complete timecard registrations for new staff
- Act as first point of contact for internal and external customer enquiries
- Manage office supplies, stationery, and servicing of equipment
- Maintain staff kitchen facilities and amenities
- Support the Local Emergency Management Officer (LEMO) with administration tasks
Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the unit

About you
We are looking for a proactive and organised team player with strong communication skills and a customer-focused mindset. The successful candidate will also bring:
- Certificate III in Business/Administration or equivalent experience
- Previous experience in a similar operational support role
- Background in customer-focused, service-driven organisations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Teams, PowerPoint)
- Experience using OneCouncil applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines under pressure
Collaborative approach to working within a multi-disciplinary team
