The Role
Reporting to the Project Manager / Lead I&E Engineer, the successful applicant will be part of a busy project team delivering brownfields oil & gas modification projects for our client.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide engineering support during the Engineering & Design, construction and commissioning phases of a project
- Is project-delivery focused and able to produce electrical scopes within budget and schedule
- Responsible for the technical aspect of engineering related activities within a project
- Must be familiar with relevant codes, client design specifications and procedures, and have a thorough working knowledge of the latest design and analytical techniques
- Provide functional engineering input to assigned projects
- Expected to be responsible for discipline delivery within agreed scope, budget and schedule of small to medium sized projects for all phases from concept to detailed design and beyond
- Produce key electrical engineering documentation to facilitate project close-out
- Regular interaction with discipline and inter-discipline team members at all levels to meet schedule

- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline (B.Sc/ M.Sc/ B.Eng) and eligible for membership of an internationally accepted applicable professional Institute. e.g. IET, Engineers Australia
- 8 years minimum experience in the Oil & Gas Industry, at least 5 years in a design role within the electrical engineering discipline
- Proven experience in the Offshore and Onshore LNG, O&G brownfields engineering EPCM Sector in Australia
- Must be an effective communicator to efficiently interface with other engineering disciplines, project managers, clients’ representatives, vendor, and subcontractors
- Must be familiar with relevant local and international Electrical codes, client Design Specifications and procedures, and have a thorough working knowledge of the latest design and analytical techniques
- FEED and Detailed Design experience with HV & LV electrical reticulation systems, power generation, and power distribution, switch gear, lighting systems, UPS systems, etc.
- Power system studies, simulation and report using software such as PowerCAD, SKM PowerTools, ETAP and/or similar softwares
- Experience in renewable energy projects, including Solar PV systems, Battery Energy Storage Systems, wind generation, and associated HV/LV integration works
- Must be certified for Hazardous area determination and classification
- Proven experience managing risk during the design process consistent with technical and commercial requirements
- Responsible for leadership of a functional area on small to medium projects
- Provide engineering support during the construction & commissioning phases of a project
- Able to travel to site as and when required
- Able to demonstrate team working skills
- Enthusiastic, conscientious and keen to learn with a flexible can-do attitude
