About the Role
We are seeking applications from suitably qualified teachers to join our dynamic team. The position is a contract position for a full-time Classroom Teacher commencing Wednesday 27th January, 2027. Salary and conditions are implemented according to the Catholic Education Multi Enterprise Agreement (CEMEA) 2022. Graduate and experienced teachers are encouraged to apply. The successful applicant will:
- have a demonstrated commitment to Catholic education and to the safety and wellbeing of children;
- possess the skills and abilities necessary to provide students with a rich and rewarding educational experience and will embrace a collegial, team-based approach to teaching and learning;
- be appropriately qualified, demonstrate enthusiasm and ability to deliver the appropriate curriculum to a range of educational abilities, and be able to provide care and support for students whilst supporting and respecting the ethos of the school and its environment;
- have accreditation to teach Religious Education in a Catholic School or a commitment to obtain accreditation;
- have a current registration with the Victorian Institute of Teaching.

The successful applicant will demonstrate:

- a commitment to safety and wellbeing of children;
- the ability to demonstrate a sound understanding of contemporary, effective and evidence-based learning and teaching practices;
- a commitment to ongoing school and personal/professional improvement;
- strong interpersonal skills and a willingness to work as part of a Professional Learning Community;
- a strong ability to develop and maintain professional and caring relationships;
- a high standard of competency and proficiency in classroom practice and student management.

St Brigid's School is a small Catholic primary school with Prep to Year 6 classes, situated in the rural township of Ballan, approximately 20 minutes south-east of Ballarat along the Western Highway. St Brigid's has an enrolment of approximately 120 students, divided into five learning groups. All areas of the curriculum are taught in exciting and innovative ways, with literacy and numeracy skills being the major focus.
