Market West is the not-for-profit Chamber of Fruit & Vegetable Industries in WA, based at the Perth Markets in Canning Vale. We deliver the marketing programs, member services and events that help local fruit and veg businesses thrive.
About the role
We are seeking a motivated, early-career Marketing Associate to support our Retail Programs & Marketing Manager. Reporting to the Manager, you'll gain broad, hands-on experience across program delivery, communications, member services and events, and you'll represent our flagship A Better Choice! program for independent fruit and veg retailers.
Responsibilities
· Recruit and onboard independent retailers into the A Better Choice! program, and be their responsive day-to-day point of contact
· Get out into stores and the market, building relationships, coordinating point-of-sale materials, and championing the program with energy
· Support our members to get the most from Market West's services
· Help create and schedule newsletters, social content (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn) and website updates
· Track campaign performance and contribute fresh content ideas around seasonality and trends
· Support the delivery of standout industry events, including the Market West Ball, Hort Connections and the Cherry Auction
What we are looking for
· A marketing graduate, or 1 to 2 years' experience in marketing, communications or a related field
· A confident, warm communicator who's comfortable engaging people face-to-face
· Highly organised, with great attention to detail and time management
· Keen to learn, proactive, and happy working both independently and in a small, supportive team
· Experience with Canva, CapCut or HubSpot is a bonus, as is a genuine interest in retail, FMCG or fresh produce
· A current WA driver's licence and your own reliable vehicle are essential, as you'll be out on the road visiting stores (you'll be reimbursed per kilometre for business use of your own vehicle)
Requirements
· Current, valid WA driver's licence
· Own reliable vehicle that is registered, insured and maintained (reimbursed per kilometre for business use)
· Current working rights in Australia (citizen, permanent resident, or suitable visa)
· Satisfactory National Police Clearance issued within the last six (6) months
· Ability to pass a pre-employment medical assessment, including drug and alcohol screening
