About the role
We are seeking a General Manager, Marketing to lead the next evolution of Oroton's brand and marketing function.
This newly created role has been established to shape a digitally-led and AI-native marketing function, strengthening strategic brand leadership, storytelling, PR, social and customer engagement as Oroton enters its next phase of growth. Working closely with the Head of Marketing, Creative Director and Digital team, you will be responsible for defining the long-term marketing vision, driving commercial outcomes and ensuring the brand continues to resonate across every customer touchpoint.
Responsibilities:

Own Oroton's overall brand and marketing strategy across retail, digital and wholesale channels
- Define the long-term direction of the brand, balancing brand equity and commercial growth
- Working closely alongside the Creative Director, work as custodian of the brand, guiding campaign direction, storytelling and brand expression
- Lead the development of a digitally-led and AI-native marketing strategy and operating model
- Drive digital marketing, CRM and customer engagement strategies in partnership with the Digital team
- Champion the adoption of emerging AI tools, technologies and data-driven decision making
- Establish KPIs and performance measures to ensure marketing investment delivers measurable outcomes
- Set the PR, social, influencer and partnership strategy to strengthen brand awareness and engagement
- Build, lead and develop a high-performing marketing function aligned to business goals
- Represent the marketing function at Executive and Board-level discussions
- Influence and align senior stakeholders on customer, brand and marketing strategy
- Contribute to broader business strategy as a key member of the leadership team
What we're looking for:
- Proven senior marketing leadership experience driving both brand growth and commercial outcomes
- Expertise in brand strategy, positioning and storytelling within a premium, lifestyle or consumer brand environment
- Experience leading integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns across digital, retail and wholesale channels
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to link marketing performance to business outcomes
- Experience leading PR, partnerships, social and brand amplification strategies
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead and develop high-performing teams
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence at Executive level
- Experience managing agencies, partners and external stakeholders
- Strategic mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capability
- Interest in emerging technologies, AI-enabled marketing tools and digital innovation
