THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for two Team Leaders to join our Nursery team in Tasmania. This role is responsible for leading and supporting small teams across day-to-day nursery operations, while also carrying out hands-on field tasks as required. The position will work closely with site nursery management to coordinate daily activities, operate tractors, forklifts, farm implements and irrigation equipment, and support planting, harvesting and other nursery duties. The role also involves working with contract and seasonal labour to help ensure work is completed safely, efficiently and to expected standards. Some of your key responsibilities will include:

Lead and support small teams across daily nursery operations.

Coordinate day-to-day labour activities in assigned work areas.

Carry out hands-on nursery tasks including planting, harvesting and general field work.

Operate tractors, forklifts, ATVs, farm implements and irrigation equipment.

Assist with irrigation set-up, checks, repairs and basic maintenance.

Support training of seasonal and labour hire workers to ensure correct procedures are followed.

Monitor work quality, productivity and plant standards.

Promote safe work practices and report any safety, performance or personnel concerns to Nursery Management.
ABOUT YOU
To be considered for this role, applicants will need to demonstrate the following capabilities:

Previous experience in a similar role within the agricultural or horticultural sector
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

Have an enthusiastic, can-do attitude
-
Ability to communicate clearly with team members, supervisors and contractors

Experience operating forklift licence and tractor driving experience
-
Current drivers licence
-
Valid, unrestricted Australian working rights
