About the Role
The trainer/assessor is responsible for the delivery and assessment of nationally recognised/ accredited VET course(s). This includes the preparation of training resources, delivering training (both online and face to face), and the assessment of students’ competence in accordance with the relevant Training Package/ curriculum. The trainer/assessor is also expected to carry out all administrative duties relevant to training activities. The trainer/assessor has an obligation to exercise professional judgment at the highest professional standards at all times. The trainer/assessor is required to make assessment judgments with diligence, fairness, honesty, integrity, and transparency.
Key Criteria
- A relevant qualification (Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Equivalent)
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment TAE40116 OR TAE40122 are essential.
- Must have at least 2 years of teaching experience (preferred)
- Demonstrated experience and industry knowledge in the relevant program areas
- Previous experience in a training or assessing role would be an advantage.
- An ability to deal with students of all abilities.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication skills, including accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to support and mentor students.
- Be able to demonstrate evidence of current currency records
- Be able to demonstrate evidence of industry membership
- Be able to demonstrate evidence of past records of professional development in the industry and VET sector
- HLTAID012 Provide First Aid in an Education & Care Setting
- HLTAID011 Provide First Aid
- HLTAID009 Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation
Experience
- LMS marking and recording skill
- Upper-Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word and Excel)
- Understanding of competency-based training and RPL assessment
Knowledge
- Thorough understanding of the training packages related to the above qualifications
- Professional approach with a focus on excellence and teamwork
- Ability to prepare and structure curriculum for delivery and assessment in class and in Childcare centers when required
- Sound understanding of ESOS Frameworks and other related legislations for International Students

Pay: $50.00 – $70.00 per hour
