NDT TechOps Pty Ltd is an Australian engineering services company specialising in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), inspection, asset integrity, quality assurance and technical reporting. We provide inspection and engineering support across the mining, construction, manufacturing, oil & gas and infrastructure sectors.
As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Contract Administrator to support the administration of engineering projects, contractual documentation and client service delivery.
About the Role
The Contract Administrator plays a key role in supporting the successful delivery of inspection and engineering projects by managing contract documentation, coordinating project administration activities and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations and company procedures.
The position works closely with project managers, engineers, NDT inspectors and clients to facilitate efficient project delivery and maintain accurate project records.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer engineering service contracts from commencement through to completion.
- Prepare, review, and maintain contractual documentation, quotations, purchase orders, and project records.
- Overseeing work by contractors and reporting on variations to work orders.
- Monitor contract performance against agreed terms and conditions.
- Support tender submissions and contract variations.
- Liaise with clients, suppliers, inspectors, and project managers regarding contract administration matters.
- Maintain confidential commercial and contractual information.
- Manage document control processes and maintain accurate electronic records.
- Monitor project costs and assist with budget tracking.
- Coordinate project documentation and ensure compliance with contractual requirements.
- Ensure company procedures and quality management systems are followed.
- Identify opportunities to improve administrative processes and reporting efficiency.
Essential Skills & Experience
- Diploma, Advanced Diploma or higher qualification in business, administration, information technology or a related field; or
- At least one year of equivalent industry in a similar role e.g. in contract administration, supplier coordination, commercial administration and business administration or engineering administration.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organisational and time management abilities.
- High level of attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel and Word.
- Experience maintaining electronic document management systems.
- Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary engineering teams.
Desirable
- Experience with commercial contract management, especially within engineering, construction, mining or industrial services.
- Exposure to Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or technical reporting environments.
- Understanding of quality management systems.
- Experience supporting project delivery within technical industries.
