About the role
We are seeking an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Personal Injury team on a permanent full time basis. Supporting a busy group of 4-5 fee earners, this role is integral to the smooth running of a high-performing practice that acts for insurers, employers and other clients across a broad range of personal injury matters.
This is a varied and hands on position suited to someone who enjoys working in a fast paced litigation environment, takes pride in delivering high quality support and thrives when managing competing priorities and deadlines.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing, drafting and formatting legal correspondence and court documents.
- Managing file administration from inception through to resolution.
- Coordinating diaries, meetings, appointments and travel arrangements.
- Liaising with clients, counsel, medical experts, courts and other stakeholders.
- Filing and serving legal documents in accordance with court requirements and deadlines.
- Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including monitoring critical dates.
- Assisting with billing, file management and general practice administration.
Providing proactive support to ensure matters progress efficiently and deadlines are met.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will be an experienced litigation legal secretary who enjoys being part of a collaborative team and takes ownership of your work. You will understand the importance of accuracy, responsiveness and exceptional client service in a busy personal injury practice.
Ideally, you will bring:
- Previous experience as a Legal Secretary within a defendant personal injury or insurance litigation practice.
- Strong knowledge of court processes, litigation procedures and legal documentation.
- An understanding of insurance terminology and personal injury claims.
- Proven experience supporting multiple fee earners in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities and urgent deadlines.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem solving.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Advanced document formatting and file management skills.
