About the work unit / facility
The Building, Engineering and Maintenance Services (BEMS) Department supports the delivery of safe, effective and sustainable healthcare services across Townsville Hospital and Health Service. The department is responsible for asset and critical infrastructure management, asset maintenance services, and the planning and delivery of minor works and projects.
BEMS plays a vital role in ensuring healthcare facilities and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard, supporting the safe and efficient operation of hospital and health services across the region.

Competitive salary and benefits:
We offer attractive remuneration packages and generous leave entitlements.
Base salary range: $76,530 to $90,332 p.a.
4 to 6 weeks annual leave with 14%-17.5% loading
12.75% employer contribution to superannuation
Plus a range of salary options to increase take-home pay

About your opportunity
As a Plumber with Townsville Hospital and Health Service, you will play an important role in maintaining the essential infrastructure that supports the delivery of healthcare services across our facilities. You will undertake plumbing work through reactive, corrective and planned maintenance activities, as well as support construction and maintenance works across buildings, plant and equipment. Your work will help ensure healthcare facilities remain safe, reliable and operational for patients, staff and visitors.
Requirements
Plumbing trade qualification from a recognised Registered Training Organisation (RTO), or an overseas qualification recognised as equivalent by the Australian Government and/or relevant registration authority.
Queensland Building and Construction Commission (QBCC) Plumbing Licence.
The following knowledge, skills and experience will be highly regarded:
Restricted Electrical Licence (QLD)
TMV and Backflow endorsements
Gas Fitters Licence
Water Quality and Testing Training
