Pacvac is looking for a reliable and hands-on Casual Warehouse Assistant to join our warehouse team in Kewdale.
This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in doing things properly, and is comfortable working across both warehouse and production activities.
Reporting to the Warehouse Supervisor, you will support the efficient day-to-day operation of the warehouse, including assembly, quality checks, picking and packing, dispatch, container unloading and general warehouse duties.
The role will initially be four days per week, working Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with Wednesdays off. Standard hours are 7:30am to 3:30pm, although hours may vary depending on operational requirements.
Our intention is to increase the role to five days per week in the new financial year, while remaining casual. Subject to business requirements and the successful candidate’s performance, there may also be an opportunity for the role to transition to full-time employment.
In this role, you will be involved in:
- Assembling and manufacturing products in line with production orders
- Conducting quality checks on completed and imported goods
- Picking components for assembly
- Picking, packing, invoicing and dispatching customer orders
- Booking deliveries and assisting with logistics requirements
- Loading and unloading shipping containers
- Reworking stock as directed
- Assisting with stocktakes when required
- Maintaining a clean, safe and organised warehouse and workshop
- Following safe work practices, procedures and company policies
We are looking for someone who is dependable, physically capable and comfortable working in a busy warehouse environment.
You will ideally bring:
- Previous experience in a warehouse, production, assembly or similar hands-on role
- A current forklift licence
- C Class driver’s licence preferred
- Confidence using handheld tools such as drills, screwdrivers and hammers
- Good attention to detail and a quality-focused approach
- Basic to intermediate computer and data entry skills
- The ability to lift up to 20kg and work in a physically demanding environment
- Strong communication skills and a team-focused attitude
- The ability to follow instructions, meet deadlines and work safely
