The Opportunity
You will build a strong safety culture through visible leadership, coaching and capability uplift ensuring the Safety team is a trusted partner to operational leaders and key stakeholders.
Lead and drive the organisation's national HSW strategy, governance and performance across a complex, multi-site operation and partnerships. Ability to drive WHS strategy across a diverse portfolio
Shape a strong safety culture through visible leadership, coaching and capability
Well-developed interpersonal skills in consulting and advising a variety of stakeholders with a diplomatic and professional approach
Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills with the ability to develop strong stakeholder relationships
Results orientated and sound judgement, is strategic thinking and able to execute and deliver on objectives
Ability to prioritise and ensure focus is directed appropriate and being adaptable to changing situations and circumstances
A minimum of 5 years' experience in a senior level HSW role or equivalent with a strong working knowledge of WHS legislation and relevant Australian/New Zealand standards and experience leading injury management/return-to-work programs and partnering effectively with People & Culture teams and insurers
Qualifications in Work Health and Safety (or related discipline)
Lead Auditor/internal auditing qualification (eg WHS/ISO management systems) and/or strong experience delivering audit and assurance programs
Demonstrated ability to design and embed management systems, governance, reporting and assurance programs
Current unrestricted driver licence
Ability to travel intrastate and interstate as required
Hold or have the ability to obtain a current Police Clearance and Working with Children Check and MyID.
