We’re looking for an experienced Manager to lead a team of officers and inmates and oversee the day-to-day operations of a correctional centre work environment. This is an opportunity to combine your leadership, business and operational expertise to deliver meaningful outcomes while supporting the development of inmates through employment, education and vocational training.
You’ll be a confident decision-maker who can balance people, performance and business priorities — providing clear direction, solving problems and ensuring operational objectives are achieved safely, efficiently and to a high standard.
What you’ll do
Lead and inspire officers and inmates to achieve operational goals.
Drive inmate programs across employment, education and vocational training.
Oversee daily operations to deliver safe, efficient and effective outcomes.
Provide strategic advice across procurement, contracts and business operations.
Manage budgets and resources to maximise performance and value.
Build strong stakeholder relationships to support business delivery.
Drive continuous improvement and identify opportunities to enhance outcomes.
Manage competing priorities and deliver results in a high-pressure environment
Use business systems and technology to monitor performance and inform decisions
What you’ll bring
You’ll be an experienced manager who can lead people, manage business operations and get results. You’ll bring:
Relevant trade and tertiary qualifications, with demonstrated management experience in areas such as business management, textiles, commercial cooking, waste management, cleaning operations, horticulture, laundry operations, furniture or building-related industries.
Current Certificate III in Correctional Practice or willingness to complete within timeframe set out by CSNSW
Current NSW Driver Licence and the ability and willingness to travel to locations as required.
Demonstrated experience leading teams and managing operational and business requirements.
Experience managing budgets, resources and competing priorities to achieve business objectives.
Knowledge and experience using Business Management Systems, such as Pronto, SAP or QMS.
Strong computer and digital skills, with the ability to navigate departmental systems and electronic platforms.
Excellent time management, problem-solving and organisational skills.
The ability to think logically, strategically and commercially, while making sound decisions in a high-pressure operational environment.
