We're looking for a commercially-minded Commercial Analyst to join our APAC Commercial team and play a key role in supporting business performance, forecasting and strategic decision-making across the region.
This is an exciting opportunity for an analytical and curious individual who enjoys working with data, uncovering trends and translating numbers into meaningful business insights. You'll gain exposure across multiple markets and functions while developing expertise in commercial partnering, forecasting, business performance and data-driven decision making.
This is a hybrid role with three days per week in our Sydney office
Key Responsibilities
What You'll Be Doing
As a Commercial Analyst, you'll work closely with the Head of Commercial APAC and senior stakeholders across Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, Finance, Partner Management and Operations to provide accurate reporting, actionable insights and commercial support.
You'll be responsible for:
Commercial Reporting & Insights
Producing accurate weekly, monthly and quarterly reporting across bookings, ARR, pipeline, renewals, partner performance and key commercial metrics.
Supporting quarterly business reviews, forecast packs and leadership reporting.
Monitoring performance against targets and providing clear commentary on trends, opportunities and risks.
Delivering ad hoc commercial analysis and translating findings into practical recommendations for stakeholders.
Helping leaders understand the commercial story behind the numbers.
Forecasting & Pipeline Analysis
Maintaining forecasting and pipeline reporting in partnership with Sales and Commercial Operations teams.
Analysing pipeline coverage, conversion rates, stage movement, sales velocity and forecasting accuracy.
Identifying performance gaps, emerging risks and data quality issues.
Supporting users of Salesforce, Clari and reporting tools to improve reporting consistency and forecast confidence.
Contributing to business planning discussions with meaningful insights and analysis.
Data Analysis & Commercial Support
Gathering, reconciling and analysing data from multiple systems, teams and sources.
Working through complex, incomplete or inconsistent datasets to identify reliable insights.
Supporting commercial models, investment cases, pricing analysis and scenario planning activities.
Providing analytical support across direct sales, partner channels and customer success functions.
Ensuring assumptions and conclusions are clearly documented and communicated.
Stakeholder Partnership
Building strong relationships across commercial, operational and finance teams.
Collaborating with colleagues across APAC, AME, UKI and occasionally North America.
Presenting insights and recommendations to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Supporting timely delivery of regional planning, forecasting and reporting activities.
Continuous Improvement
Identifying opportunities to simplify, standardise and automate reporting processes.
Supporting dashboard development and reporting enhancements.
Helping improve data quality through root-cause analysis and collaboration with business stakeholders.
Driving efficiencies that allow teams to focus on making better, faster decisions.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who combines strong analytical capability with commercial curiosity and a desire to influence business outcomes.
You'll likely bring:
Experience in commercial analysis, business analytics, sales operations, revenue operations, finance or a related analytical role.
Strong forecasting, reporting and data analysis experience.
Advanced Excel skills and experience working with large datasets.
Experience using CRM and reporting tools such as Salesforce, Clari, Power BI, Tableau or similar platforms.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to identify trends, risks and opportunities from data.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
The ability to communicate complex information clearly and confidently to a variety of stakeholders.
Experience working with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced commercial environment.
A proactive mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and process optimisation.
