This role is a Senior Executive Band One, offers a total remuneration package starting at $233,641 to $258,587, including superannuation, commensurate with experience.

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Director, Asset Management Strategy to lead the uplift of asset management capability across government.
The role provides expert advice on the asset-related challenges faced by the NSW Government, including agency capability and capacity in asset management, resilience of the asset portfolio, maximising the value generated from the asset base, and efficiently managing an ageing asset base.
The role is responsible for designing and implementing programs to meet evolving strategic needs related to asset management. This includes analysing lessons learnt and adjusting initiatives to facilitate greater sophistication of asset planning across NSW Government.
Some of the key responsibilities for the role include:

Developing and maintaining objectives for asset management and building consensus and commitment across government.

Leading the analysis of agency assurance outcomes and agency asset management submissions to identify and design interventions to drive the long term uplift of asset management capability.

Leading the development, refinement, and execution of whole-of-government strategic programs for asset management, ensuring alignment with government priorities.

Driving the creation and integration of comprehensive asset management frameworks and leveraging agency asset management capabilities to enhance the quality and consistency of asset planning.

Leading the delivery of asset management assurance activities, ensuring they are aligned with the Government’s strategic objectives and that they deliver the information required to give government confidence in asset management practices.
About You
You will bring relevant tertiary qualifications and extensive asset management expertise. This should include experience leading and managing a multi-disciplinary team to deliver long-term asset management strategies and related policy reforms. As a senior leader, you have shown the ability to work collaboratively and influence others to achieve results. You have also demonstrated the ability to support and develop the team around you.
