We are currently seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse to lead and develop the team at Bethanie Joondanna Aged Care Home, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care to our residents.
This role is offered on a permanent, full-time basis working 5 days a week and is available due to the incumbent being promoted.
As a Clinical Nurse, you will promote high quality clinical care in accordance with standards, guidelines, legislation and organisational policies and procedures. You will be highly competent in clinical and critical thinking and efficiently coordinate and deliver resident care in collaboration with the other health professionals. You can maximise efficient use and control of organisation resources to meet resident needs.

Essential Criteria
You’re a leader with a desire to develop your team to be the best they can be. You genuinely care about your team and enriching the ageing experience for your residents.
- Current and unrestricted registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse.
- Bachelor of Nursing; plus, relevant post graduate qualification to the level of postgraduate diploma or above
- Evidence of relevant currency of practice (e.g: aged care, dementia, palliative, restorative care).
- Demonstrated clinical judgement, decision making and timely coordination, clinical assessment and evaluation of the admission, transfer and changed needs of the aged care customer.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to confidently use clinical information systems
- Willingness to obtain relevant vaccinations
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check or National Police Clearance (or willingness to apply for one)
The Role
- Maintain professional efficiency among staff and ensure resources are utilised safely, effectively and appropriately.
- Attend and complete all mandatory training in a timely manner.
- Be familiar with and able to access and use the Bethanie information communication and technology system.
- Adhere to infection prevention and control protocols and procedures designed to prevent infection transmission in the workplace.
- Undertake own work practices in a safe manner and comply with the instructions given for work.
- Non-disclosure during and after employment of information relating to residents, clients and staff of Bethanie or damage the reputation, viability or profitability of Bethanie services.
- Your responsibility also extends to any tasks outlined on a duties list, or any other tasks delegated to you by your manager. supervisor, provided that those new job requirements are safe, efficient, relevant, legal and within your scope of practice.
