Douglass Hanly Moir Pathology is an established and well-respected pathology practice offering comprehensive, high-quality pathology services across New South Wales and northwest Victoria. ¡ Collecting blood and non-blood samples from patients including conducting basic tests such as ECG and Holter Monitoring
¡ Following strict guidelines and procedures to ensure all samples are accurately labelled
¡ Guiding patients or caregivers on sampling procedures
¡ Preparing specimens for transportation to the laboratory
We offer a comprehensive training program suitable for medical/health science students wishing to gain valuable experience in a clinical environment whilst studying. You will learn high quality patient care and valuable clinical skills in a fast paced, flexible working environment.
Our ideal candidate:
¡ Is open to working part-time hours on a scheduled roster, including participation in the weekend roster
¡ Is passionate about healthcare and committed to providing excellent care and service to patients and doctors
¡ A hard-working, motivated individual with a strong work ethic
¡ Team player with the ability to work unsupervised
¡ Excellent written and oral communication skills
¡ High level attention to detail and record keeping skills.
Prior to commencement, all candidates must provide documentary evidence of the following:
¡ Unrestricted working rights in Australia
¡ Commitment to annual influenza vaccination.
A National Police Check, Working with Children clearance and First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) will be required prior to commencement.
Please note, our program requires a non-negotiable minimum 20 hour per week commitment.
