Job Description
Role Summary:
The role will play a critical client-facing commercial leadership role within Visa Commercial Solutions, focused on accelerating growth across the Small and Medium Business segment in Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific Islands. The individual will be responsible for driving commercial sales execution, supporting SMB thought leadership with banks and financial institutions, improving client value propositions, and securing new product commitments across priority propositions.
To operate successfully, the individual will need to demonstrate strong commercial acumen, consultative sales capability, senior stakeholder management skills and a deep understanding of commercial cards, in particular Issuing, fintech partnerships and B2B payments.
This role requires the candidate to:
Support the growth and management of Visa’s expanding SMB portfolio.
Develop and execute SMB sales strategies that increase payments volume, deepen issuer engagement and drive long-term revenue growth across priority banks, financial institutions and fintech partners.
Drive senior-level engagement with banks, financial institutions and fintech issuing partners to originate, structure and scale commercial issuing partnerships.
Support SMB thought leadership into banks and financial institutions, helping clients understand market trends, customer needs and growth opportunities across the SMB segment.
Lead and support CVP design, pricing strategy, commercial loyalty and offers initiatives.
Drive new product commitments and commercialisation activity across priority SMB propositions.
Identify and capture new commercial fintech issuing opportunities.
Work closely with Account Executives and client teams to formulate and execute go-to-market approaches for SMB issuers, fintechs and ecosystem partners.
Collaborate with Visa Commercial Solutions, Product, Data & Services, Marketing, Fintech, Acceptance and regional teams to deliver coordinated, client-ready propositions.
Analyse business opportunities to increase payment volume, revenue, share and client activation, implementing both short- and long-term strategies to improve performance.
Use AI-enabled insights, analytics and client intelligence to improve targeting, preparation, commercial decision-making and execution efficiency, recognising that AI is an enabler of scale and performance but not a substitute for human-led relationship management, negotiation and deal structuring.
Visa requires at least 3 days in office, expectations of these days will be confirmed by your Hiring Manager.

Excellent communication skills, executive presence and the ability to explain complex business, regulatory and technical concepts in an accessible way.
Ability to work independently across matrixed teams, secure internal alignment, obtain buy-in and elevate risks or issues at critical junctures.
