IT Project Manager – Oil & Gas / Petrochemical

About the Role
We are seeking an experienced IT Project Manager with an understanding of the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical industry to lead technology projects. The ideal candidate combines IT project management expertise with familiarity in industrial systems, OT/IT integration, and the regulatory and operational realities of the energy sector.
Key Responsibilities
· Lead the end-to-end management of IT projects OT-IT integration, cloud migrations, cybersecurity initiatives, and enterprise application rollouts.
· Develop detailed project plans covering scope, schedule, budget, resourcing, and risk management
· Coordinate cross-functional teams
· Manage project budgets and track expenditures
· Serve as primary liaison between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams, ensuring projects align with operational priorities
· Identify and mitigate project risks
· Apply appropriate project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or Hybrid) depending on the nature of the project
· Conduct post-implementation reviews and ensure proper documentation and knowledge transfer to operations and IT support teams.
Required Qualifications
· 8–10 years of overall experience, with at least 5 years managing IT projects
· Strong understanding of OT/IT convergence, industrial network architecture, and the unique cybersecurity considerations of operational technology environments.
· Demonstrated experience managing project budgets, project governance processes
· Solid knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile/Scrum, Waterfall, PRINCE2) and tools (MS Project, Jira, Primavera P6, Smartsheet).
· Excellent stakeholder management skills.
· Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
· PMP (Project Management Professional) or PRINCE2 certification.
· Exposure to data platforms (Databricks, Azure, AWS) used for industrial analytics and reporting.
