Your new role:
As a Clinical Nurse in our Mental Health Inpatient Units, you will provide advanced clinical leadership and coordinate high-quality, person-centred care for consumers with complex mental health and addiction needs.
In this role, you will:
Deliver and coordinate comprehensive mental health nursing care using advanced clinical judgement and critical thinking
Lead clinical decision-making and support safe, recovery-focused care within a multidisciplinary team
Supervise, delegate to, and support nursing and support staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Contribute to shift coordination, service delivery, and operational leadership in the absence of senior nursing staff
Support quality improvement activities, incident review, and adherence to clinical standards and frameworks
Engage in education, mentoring, and clinical facilitation for staff and students
Contribute to service innovation, research, and evidence-based practice improvements
About you:
You are an experienced Registered Nurse with strong clinical expertise in mental health and a commitment to recovery-oriented, person-centred care.
You bring:
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse (essential)
Experience in acute mental health, inpatient or complex care settings
Strong clinical assessment, risk assessment, and care planning skills
Proven ability to lead, delegate, and support multidisciplinary teams
Advanced critical thinking and sound clinical decision-making abilities
Commitment to education, continuous learning, and professional development
Ability to work autonomously while contributing effectively to team outcomes
