We are looking for an experienced Surveyor to join our team at our Copper Mine operation in NSW. This is an excellent opportunity to join an established mining operation and work closely with Mining and Technical Services teams to support safe and efficient production.
As a Surveyor, you will provide accurate and timely surveying services across the mining operation, supporting mine planning, production and reconciliation activities.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Measuring volumes of material moved and blasted
- Pegging and setting out areas to be mined
- Surveying mine configuration and maintaining mine control
- Locating blast and exploration holes
- Completing as-built surveys and maintaining accurate survey records
- Updating site plans and digital mine models
- Reconciling mining and overburden production against planned performance
- Monitoring production performance and identifying variances
- Supporting accurate production reporting and reconciliation
- Providing survey data to support mine planning and operational decision-making
- Identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
- Working closely with Mining, Technical Services, Drill & Blast, Geology and Planning teams
- Ensuring all surveying activities are completed safely and in accordance with site requirements
What We're Looking For
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Tertiary qualifications in Surveying, Mine Surveying or a relevant discipline
- Previous surveying experience within an open cut mining operation
- Strong knowledge of surveying principles and reconciliation processes
- Experience with Vulcan and Point Studio
- Strong Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel
- G1, G8, G9 and G2 competencies
- Current Driver's Licence
- Current CASA Drone Licence / Remote Pilot Licence
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- A strong commitment to safety, accuracy and quality
