For 16 years we have helped families and businesses move across Brisbane and South East Queensland, completing more than 2,500 moves a year and earning over 1,000 five-star reviews along the way. Moving is stressful, and our job is to take that stress off our customers, with a professional, reliable team on every job. We are now growing our transport operation on the Gold Coast and are looking for an experienced Transport Company Manager to run it.
About the role
Reporting to the directors, you will organise and control the day-to-day operations of our Gold Coast transport operation. Your responsibilities will include:
- Organising the purchase, servicing and maintenance of transport vehicles, equipment and fuel
- Receiving orders and bookings, and planning and implementing transport schedules
- Arranging the collection and delivery of goods and vehicles
- Liaising with clients to determine their requirements, providing advice and information on services, rates and obligations, and handling complaints
- Ensuring goods are stored and transported in conditions that maintain their quality
- Coordinating removal crews and drivers and overseeing scheduling across the operation
- Maintaining business records and preparing operational statements and reports
- Ensuring compliance with work health and safety regulations
About you
- A Diploma-level qualification or above in transport, logistics or business management, or at least 3 years of experience in a comparable transport or logistics management role
- Strong scheduling, customer service and team coordination skills
- Sound knowledge of vehicle maintenance and work health and safety compliance
- A current Australian driver licence
