About the Role
Auscare Partners Australia is seeking a reliable, compassionate and experienced Disability Support Worker to provide ongoing support to one NDIS participant living with her parents in Dandenong.
This is a stable, long-term position offering 25 guaranteed hours every week, Monday to Friday. We are looking for someone who can commit to both the morning and afternoon shifts and build a consistent, trusting relationship with the participant and her family.
The participant is non-verbal, so patience, strong observation skills and experience supporting people with communication needs are highly valued.
Guaranteed Working Hours
Monday to Friday:
- Morning shift: 7:00 AM–9:00 AM
- Afternoon shift: 3:00 PM–6:00 PM
- Total: 25 guaranteed hours per week
Applicants must be available for the split-shift schedule on all five weekdays.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing respectful personal care and daily-living support
- Assisting with morning and afternoon routines
- Supporting the participant while maintaining her dignity, privacy and independence
- Preparing simple meals
- Completing light household duties, including tidying and maintaining a safe environment
- Communicating effectively with the participant’s family and support team
- Following the participant’s care plan, routines and preferences
- Completing accurate progress notes and reporting any concerns
- Building a safe, consistent and positive long-term relationship with the participant
Essential Requirements
- Previous disability support or personal-care experience
- Confidence providing personal care respectfully and professionally
- Experience supporting non-verbal participants or people with complex communication needs
- Availability for all advertised morning and afternoon shifts
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current First Aid and CPR certificates
- National Police Check
- Valid Australian driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Working rights in Australia
- Ability to provide employment references
- Reliable, patient, compassionate and committed to ongoing work
A Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Disability, Community Services or a related qualification is preferred.
