About the role:
Accounts Queue Lead will manage a team that contributes to a diverse range of client-focused accounting
functions including Accounts Payable, Revenue and Accounts Receivable and Bond Recoupment, Vendor
Management, and Fixed Asset Accounting. The role contributes hands-on expertise across key administrative
and operational functions and maintains quality through assurance activities.
Accountable to the Manager, Accounting Services, this role is responsible for the quality of all staff inputs
applied to these services to meet the agreed service requirements with suppliers and key clients.
The Accounts Queue Lead will ensure all documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs),
training materials and advice to customers in relation to the service are regularly updated according to their
own monitoring and reporting of service levels, staff and customer feedback.
In addition, they will lead a team with specialist expertise and/or skills in accounting services, having
responsibility for all aspects associated with the management of people including performance management
and capability development, and contribute to the leadership of the wider branch through their involvement in
cross branch knowledge sharing collaboration and people development activities.
All staff within the branch work flexibly to ensure the effective delivery of the various services required under
the Shared Services Agreement. This includes engaging with customers through multiple channels, such as
OurService, email, Microsoft Teams, in-person interactions, and telephone lines.
The work is fast-paced and would suit an individual who is able to lead a team in achieving results whilst
responding to a rapidly changing environment.

Resolves operational service delivery problems consistent with program objectives

Interprets and applies business plans and policies to own area of responsibility

Applies negotiation persuasion and motivation skills to manage staff and stakeholders

Recommends resource allocation to immediate manager in order to meet service delivery priorities

Prepares project scopes and briefs within broad parameters
Qualifications/Specialist Expertise:

A tertiary qualification in fields related to accounting, finance, business or other related fields would be desirable.

Experience in people management, monitoring performance and allocating tasks is highly regarded.

Experience or knowledge in specialised functions such as payroll and payment services or finance are highly regarded.

Demonstrated experience or expertise in a high volume, client focussed, transactional processing environment.
