About the role
Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of work, we are seeking an experienced and qualified Roof Tiler to join our team in a full-time, permanent position. The successful applicant will work on residential roofing projects throughout metropolitan Melbourne, supported by an experienced team and appropriate tools and equipment.
- Full-time, permanent employment
- Base salary of $80,000–$85,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience
- Superannuation paid in addition to the base salary
- Work across metropolitan Melbourne
- Consistent pipeline of residential roof repair and restoration work
- Supportive, established and safety-focused team
- Company vehicle, fuel card and work equipment may be provided, depending on experience and operational requirements
Key Responsibilities
- Install, repair and restore tiled roofing systems
- Inspect roofs and identify damaged tiles, leaks and other roofing defects
- Remove and replace broken, damaged or deteriorated roof tiles
- Carry out roof re-bedding and re-pointing
- Repair roof leaks and complete associated restoration work
- Measure and calculate the materials required for each project
- Ensure all roofing work is completed accurately and to a high standard
- Follow workplace health and safety requirements and safe-work procedures
- Maintain clean, organised and safe worksites
- Work independently and collaboratively to complete projects on schedule
- Communicate professionally with clients, supervisors and other trades
Qualifications and experience
Applicants must have:
- A Certificate III in Roof Tiling or an equivalent relevant trade qualification
- At least two years of relevant roof-tiling experience
- Demonstrated experience in tiled-roof installation, repairs and restoration
- Experience with roof re-bedding, re-pointing and tile replacement
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
- The physical ability and competency to work safely at heights
- A valid Construction Induction Card (White Card)
- A current driver’s licence
- The ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Availability to work at sites across metropolitan Melbourne
- A strong commitment to workplace safety and customer service
