Some of the positions available are maternity relief positions and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.

Our Inpatient Mental Health Unit at Gosford Hospital is strengthening its team, and we’re looking for Registered Nurses with Mental Health experience or Registered Nurses who have a passionate interest in Mental Health, who take pride in delivering high-quality, recovery-oriented care.

About the Role
As a Mental Health RN, you will:
- Deliver safe, compassionate, recovery-oriented nursing care.
- Conduct mental state assessments and risk assessments.
- Respond to acute behavioural escalation using trauma-informed approaches.
- Maintain clinical documentation aligned with policy and the Mental Health Act.
- Work collaboratively with nurses, allied health, medical officers and peer workers.
- Contribute to a unit culture of respect, accountability and teamwork.

You are a Registered Nurse who:
- Has experience in mental health (inpatient or community).
- Communicates with clarity, calmness and compassion.
