Our Purpose is to enhance the health and wellbeing of our community. We aim for our health services to be accessible, high quality and integrated. We currently have multiple exciting opportunities available to join our supportive midwifery department at Gosford Hospital.
One of the roles is a maternity relief position and should the permanent incumbent require an early return from maternity leave, this contract of employment will cease with two weeks notice. Maternity relief positions can be for a period of up to 12 months, with the possibility of continued employment for up to a further 12 months for maternity leave reduced hours, therefore there are no claims to permanency.
The Registered Midwife Rotators position is based within the supportive and welcoming Maternity Services across CCLHD.
The role will work across the Birthing Suite, Special Care Nursery, Antenatal Clinics, Midwifery in the Home and the Maternity Ward providing quality, efficient and effective women centred care to meet the needs of clients and their families on the Central Coast.

About You
You will bring a strong commitment to high-quality community care and a passion for helping people maintain their health, independence, and dignity. You will have:

Demonstrated ability to meet the NMBA competencies for the Registered Midwife & current registration with AHPRA with recent competent clinical experience in midwifery with demonstrated ability to practice safe care in line with policies, directives and clinical practice guidelines, with a sound understanding of the ACM Consultation and Referral Guidelines.

Knowledge of and ability to work within a woman centred approach to midwifery care with a willingness to show leadership and embrace change in the coordination and delivery of care.

Recent competent clinical experience in midwifery, demonstrating ability to practice safe care in line with policies and directives and clinical practice guidelines.

Understanding of team nursing and demonstrated ability to work effectively and collaboratively as part of the multi-disciplinary health care team.

Current unrestricted NSW drivers licence.
