Role Purpose
The Head of Partnerships will lead TFC’s partnership management function, setting the strategy and standards that ensure the Club builds, delivers and grows best-in-class relationships with its corporate partners. You’ll lead and develop the Partnerships team, own the performance, retention and growth of TFC’s partnership portfolio, and build trusted relationships with senior partner stakeholders, working closely with Corporate Development to ensure a seamless journey from acquisition through to activation, renewal and growth. Your responsibilities will include:
Strategy & Portfolio Leadership
- Set the strategy and service model across TFC’s partnership portfolio, establishing best-in-class standards for onboarding, account management, activation, reporting and renewal
- Oversee portfolio performance, proactively managing risks and opportunities to keep partnerships aligned with the Club’s commercial objectives, brand and values
- Lead the Club’s retention and renewal strategy, working closely with Corporate Development to deepen and grow existing relationships
Relationship & Team Leadership
- Build trusted, enduring relationships with senior stakeholders across TFC’s partner network, acting as the senior relationship lead on the Club’s most strategic partnerships
- Lead, coach and develop the Partnerships team, building a high-performance, collaborative and partner-focused culture
- Represent TFC professionally with senior executives, industry leaders and key external stakeholders
Activation, Commercial & Reporting
- Provide strategic oversight of partnership activation, ensuring entitlements are delivered consistently and to a high standard across Marketing, Membership, Community and Football
- Contribute to Commercial planning, budgeting and forecasting, and provide portfolio insights that inform new business strategy and packaging
- Establish effective partnership systems, governance and reporting to support a scalable, high-performing function
What you’ll bring
- Significant experience in partnerships, sponsorship, account management or client servicing, ideally within sport, media, entertainment or major events
- Demonstrated experience leading and developing high-performing teams
- Proven track record managing and growing significant corporate partnerships, with strong retention and commercial outcomes
- Extensive experience building relationships with senior executives and key stakeholders
- Strong commercial acumen across renewals, negotiations, budgeting and revenue growth
- Outstanding leadership and people management capability
- Strategic thinker who can translate commercial objectives into effective execution
- Excellent negotiation, influencing and communication skills
- A qualification in Business, Marketing, Commerce, Sports Management or similar is desirable, along with a Working with Vulnerable People Check (or the ability to obtain one)

- Full-time, permanent, based in Hobart, reporting to the GM, Commercial & Partnerships
- Regular engagement with senior stakeholders and cross-functional teams across the Club, with some out-of-hours work and travel required

- Salary guidance: $130K – $150K + superannuation.
