Lead a Critical Fuel Terminal Operation

About The Role
As Terminal Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the safe, reliable and efficient operation of ATOM's Gladstone fuel terminals. You will lead site operations, drive safety performance, manage key stakeholder relationships and ensure compliance with operational, regulatory and customer requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership role with end-to-end accountability for terminal performance, people, safety and asset reliability.
What You'll Be Responsible For
Safety Leadership
- Champion ATOM's strong safety culture and lead HSSEQ performance.
- Drive incident management, risk assessment and emergency preparedness.
- Ensure all terminal activities are conducted safely and in full compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
Operational Excellence
- Oversee the safe receipt, storage and distribution of fuel products.
- Ensure reliable and efficient terminal operations.
- Lead Management of Change (MoC) processes for site improvements and upgrades.
Financial & Asset Management
- Manage operational and maintenance budgets.
- Support capital planning and cost optimisation initiatives.
- Drive continuous improvement and efficiency opportunities across the terminal.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, contractors and industry partners.
- Liaise effectively with regulatory bodies, port authorities and internal stakeholders.
- Share best practices across the ATOM network.
Specialist Accountability
- Provide marine interface oversight as Shore Officer, ensuring safe vessel discharge operations and effective marine risk management.
About You
You are an experienced operational leader with a strong background in high-hazard or industrial environments. You are comfortable taking ownership, leading teams through example and making sound decisions in a safety-critical operation.
You will bring:
- Demonstrated leadership experience in terminal operations, fuel, energy, mining, chemical processing or a similar industry.
- Strong HSSEQ leadership capability.
- Experience managing operational budgets.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship building skills.
- Strong risk management and problem solving abilities.
- A practical, structured and collaborative leadership style.
