Business Objective of Role
This position is responsible for undertaking quality checks and inspections during the project lifecycle, ensuring that project works comply with the approved designs, specifications and diagrams associated with the various stages of a project.
The role supports the Project Manager, Construction Manager and Site team in maintaining quality compliance across each stage of project delivery, while ensuring all required quality documentation, records and inspections are completed and maintained.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the Project Manager and Construction Manager in confirming project specifications and other requirements are compliant and appropriate to the stage of the project work.
- Lead quality assurance and mechanical compliance processes for bioenergy plant infrastructure projects, including CHP units, flares, tank sealing, and weighbridges.
- Develop, execute, and monitor Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs), Quality Checklists, and Inspection Test Reports (ITRs) against technical specifications, IFC drawings, and regulatory requirements.
- Review project specifications, drawings, and plans, procedures and other technical documentation to ensure quality requirements are clearly defined and understood.
- Coordinate and undertake daily inspections, mechanical inspections and quality audits to verify that construction and installation activities comply with approved documentation and project requirements.
- Prepare detailed quality performance reports, technical compliance documentation, and project handover packages for key stakeholders
- Assist with the organisation of purchase orders, delivery dockets and other paperwork on site.
- Liaise with head office and the project team with bookings of inductions, training for employees and subcontractors.
- Assist in maintaining Project Site Registers (visitors attendees listing) and files (qualification records of contractors etc).
- Assist in the Auto Cloud Construction platform documentation.
- Comply with internal policies and procedures with respect to quality, safety and our environmental obligations in designing project documentation and activities.
- Enforce Work Health and Safety (WHS) management systems and Zero Harm principles across all mechanical quality and installation activities.
- Undertake other ad hoc duties as required.
Key Experience
- Relevant tertiary qualification in Engineering, Construction, Quality Management or a related discipline.
- Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in a project quality, or engineering role within construction, infrastructure, energy or industrial projects.
- Knowledge and practical understanding of Quality Assurance and Quality Control principles.
- Strong understanding of project specifications, drawings, standards and construction documentation.
- High level of computer literacy, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and SharePoint.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to documentation and record keeping.
- Effective time management and organisational skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a project team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to identifying and resolving quality issues.
- Knowledge of safety requirements within a construction environment.

Pay: $80,000.00 – $120,000.00 per year
