Some tasks you will do:
General Maintenance Skills
Apply silicone to bathrooms, kitchens and wet areas
Patch, sand and paint holes or damaged walls
Hang pictures, mirrors, shelves etc.
Install and replace toilet seats
Replace flyscreen mesh
Replace rollers on sliding screen doors and glass doors
Install or replace shower door seals
Adjust shower doors to ensure they close correctly
Reattach blind chains and complete basic blind repairs
Replace door handles, locks, hinges and latches
Replace tap washers and basic plumbing fittings
Replace light bulbs, smoke alarm batteries and remote batteries
Assemble furniture
Adjust doors, cupboards and drawers
Pressure wash outdoor areas when required
Replace grout or touch up grout where needed
Use the Bunnings website or other supplies (mr windows, can obvs help with this at the start) and other supplier websites to source the correct materials and parts to complete jobs
Take clear before and after photos
Monitors the team WhatsApp chat throughout the day
Responds promptly to maintenance requests in WhatsApp
Follows up outstanding jobs to ensure they are completed
Provides updates and photos once jobs are finished
Escalates urgent maintenance issues quickly
