About the role
As a User Experience (UI/UX) Analyst and Tester, you will support both automation and manual testing requirements for applications, ensuring high-quality deliverables and exceptional customer service. You will collaborate across project teams to validate functionality, usability, and accessibility, while contributing to user experience design and research activities. This role requires effective communication skills and a passion for delivering solutions that exceed client expectations.
Project and Product Testing
- Conduct UI analysis and testing to evaluate functionality, usability, and accessibility.
- Develop and execute test plans for functional, end-to-end, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
- Ensure First Time Quality through rigorous testing and defect management.
- Perform regression testing during system upgrades and maintain test cases.
- Collaborate with business analysts, developers, and integration leads across design and implementation phases.
- Liaise with stakeholders regarding new releases and provide detailed defect analysis and reporting.
- Contribute to requirements traceability matrix to measure test coverage.
User Interface (UI) and User Experience (UX)
- Participate in user research activities such as interviews, A/B testing, and surveys.
- Create UX deliverables including personas, task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and mock-ups.
- Design digital interfaces that balance user experience principles with business needs.
- Conduct usability studies and heuristic reviews, documenting recommendations for improvement.
- Support development of experience designs from inception through launch.
Experience, Knowledge and Qualifications
Essential:
- Demonstrated experience working in Agile and DevOps environments for complex projects.
- Hands-on experience with API testing and automated testing for CI/CD processes.
- Strong knowledge of user-centred design methodologies and techniques.
- Ability to test complex calculations for accuracy.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong analytical thinking.
- Ability to build rapport and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Attention to detail and adherence to style standards for fonts, colours, and images.
Desirable:
- Experience with wireframing and prototyping tools.
- Familiarity with mobile-first responsive design principles.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role.
- Accredited qualification in User Experience, Interaction Design, or Human-Computer Interaction.
