Job Description
Lead and delivery Digital Delivery initiatives across AECOM’s Transmission and Distribution (T&D) energy team with a focus on the Australia and New Zealand (ANZ) markets. As Digital Delivery Manager, you will be combining strategic leadership with hands-on project delivery across a diverse portfolio of complex, large and multidiscipline energy projects. In this role, you will lead digital transformation, strengthen capability, and embed consistent, best-practice delivery approaches, while leading digital functions on major projects to achieve outstanding client and project outcomes, across a broad business unit.
Reporting to the ANZ T&D Sector Director, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the sector's digital future while providing leadership across a broad portfolio of Energy projects. You will be responsible for establishing and embedding digital delivery standards and workflows, while developing the capability of project teams to consistently deliver high-quality outcomes that meet client and project expectations. How you work will be important in this role, with the ability to connect with diverse and multidisciplinary engineering and design teams, understanding their current digital delivery capabilities, and collaborating with them in a way that empowers, enables and improves their delivery approach. Your people focused leadership abilities will be important for success in this role, building trust, balancing diverse stakeholder needs while supporting teams through change bridging design and technology considerations.
This is an opportunity to lead, influence, and enable digital delivery at both a business, portfolio and project level, driving innovation, standardisation, and continuous improvement across the sector. All while building trusted external client relationships and delivering successful outcomes on some of the region's largest and most significant multidiscipline Energy projects.
How you’ll make a difference:

Lead the ANZ Transmission and Distribution sector's digital transformation, driving the adoption of standardised digital delivery workflows, governance frameworks, delivery toolkits, and best practices to improve consistency, efficiency, quality, and project outcomes across the sector.

Partner with Project Managers, Project Directors, and ANZ Digital leadership to establish, embed, and continuously improve digital delivery standards, processes, and ways of working, building capability across project teams and supporting the successful adoption of digital solutions.

Lead the planning, mobilisation, and delivery of digital delivery functions across a portfolio of Energy projects, ranging from regionally based projects to large, complex multi-region and discipline programs.

Lead with a systems mindset to establish and oversee digital environments, systems, and Common Data Environments (CDEs) that enable efficient, compliant, and high-quality project delivery.

Lead and develop high-performing digital delivery teams throughout ANZ and globally, including resource planning, capability development, mentoring, coaching, and succession planning with the ability to positively collaborate with geographically dispersed teams.

Build trusted relationships with clients, contractors, and key project stakeholders, acting as a leader and advocate for digital delivery excellence including leading change management approaches embedding digital delivery ways of working.

Manage digital delivery risks, budgets, and scope changes, ensuring digital services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with project requirements.

Ensure compliance with client requirements, digital standards, information management processes, and project delivery obligations.

Influence the future direction of digital delivery within the ANZ Transmission and Distribution business by identifying opportunities for innovation, capability uplift, and business improvement.
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you will be an experienced Digital Delivery Manager. You will be known for your leadership ability being able to balance diverse stakeholder requirements, across the domain of delivery and digital transformation project requirements yet able to make real sustainable change for project delivery. You will be passionate about working with teams, clients and projects to make a difference, while advocating for what is possible across digital, technology and data innovations. The qualities that help you thrive:

Significant experience (15+ years) in digital delivery, digital engineering, information management, or a related field, with experience in senior leadership roles such as Digital Delivery Manager, Digital Engineering Lead, BIM Manager, Information Manager, or Digital Transformation Lead.

Proven experience leading digital delivery across major multidisciplinary infrastructure projects, including leadership roles on at least two large-scale projects.

Demonstrated ability to lead digital transformation initiatives, establish digital delivery standards, and embed consistent ways of working across project teams and business functions.

Strong systems and governance background, with experience establishing, managing, and optimising digital delivery environments, workflows, and information management processes.

Demonstrated knowledge and practical application of industry standards and frameworks, (including ISO 19650) and related digital delivery and information management practices.

Strong working knowledge of digital delivery and information management platforms, including Common Data Environments (CDEs) such as ProjectWise.

Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively across multidisciplinary and geographically dispersed teams (such as multi regions across Australia or Internationally based) to achieve successful project outcomes.

Experienced in leading, mentoring, and developing high-performing digital teams, with a strong focus on capability uplift, coaching, and succession planning.

Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across clients, project leaders, technical teams, and executive stakeholders.

Able to lead the implementation of either organisational or business unit focused digital transformation programs, including change management considerations, and capability development initiatives.

Experience within complex and multidiscipline Energy, Transmission and Distribution, or broader infrastructure sectors is highly desirable.

Ideally hold or working towards, professional certification or recognised industry credentials in digital engineering, BIM, information management, project management, or related disciplines, supported by a relevant degree qualification.
