Ventia are looking to engage an experienced and safety-driven Mechanical Supervisor to join our team as part of our ongoing maintenance works in the Pilbara. Reporting to the SMP Superintendent, this position will see you overseeing our Structural/Mechanical/Piping (SMP) projects in the field. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals looking to be a key part of our operational teams, ensuring all work is carried out safely, efficiently, and within compliance.
These positions are casual ongoing roles, working 12hours days on 2:1 roster, with flights from Perth Airport and accommodation provided onsite. Shutdown works may require you to work either day shift or night shift.
The pay rate for this position is between $90.00 - $100 per hour flat rate (including casual loading and allowances).

Your duties will include, but are not limited to:

Spend 90% of your time on-site supervising SMP teams, ensuring work is completed

Safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project requirements

Monitor work fronts to ensure safety protocols are strictly followed

Conduct daily workplace inspections on work environment, people, plant & equipment identify any gaps and keep a safe & hazard free work environment

Lead daily pre-starts to review work plans, safety measures, and equipment requirements

Provide guidance and direction to SMP crews, ensuring that tasks are completed in a timely manner

Maintain accurate daily logs, including progress, safety observations, and any incidents

Foster a culture of safety and efficiency, identifying opportunities for process improvements and risk mitigation
Requirements:

WA Driver’s Licence

Trade Certificate – Mechanical Trade

Certificate IV Leadership & Management|

Section 26 Supervisors – Essential
- High Risk Work Licence – Highly regarded

Proven experience in a SMP supervisory role, preferably in the mining or heavy industry sectors

Experience with Identification Erection and Modification of structural steel

Ability to read drawings
