About the Role:
Are you a cook, with a passion for the elderly? An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced and passionate Cook to join our dedicated team at Crows Nest Aged Care. In this rewarding role, you will help create nutritious, high-quality meals that bring comfort and enjoyment to our residents, while supporting their individual dietary and nutritional needs.
Key responsibilities include:

Prepare and cook a variety of meals with care, creativity, and attention to dietary requirements

Ensure all kitchen, food preparation, and storage areas are maintained to high hygiene and infection-control standards

Maintain accurate kitchen records and stock documentation

Assist with stock ordering and liaise with suppliers and supervisors regarding kitchen supplies

Work collaboratively with the kitchen team to support smooth daily operations

Contribute ideas for menus, themed meals, and special events
About You
You are someone who genuinely enjoys working with older people and understands the important role good food plays in health, wellbeing, and quality of life. You are reliable, organised, and committed to safe food handling practices and teamwork.

Demonstrated knowledge of commercial food preparation and food hygiene practices

Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or relevant trade qualification (desirable)

Strong understanding of food safety legislation, texture-modified diets, and special dietary requirements

Experience within the aged care sector (highly regarded)

Current National Police Check, or willingness to obtain one

Hold valid Australian Work Rights - Unfortunately we are not currently able to sponsor
